On this page you can find some information about this year’s active committees; who are in the committees, what they do and their contact information. Click on the picture to see the committee members! Are you in a committee and do you want to declare something? Download the declaration form, fill it out, and hand it to the association’s treasurer along with the receipt.
Being in a committee can be a fun way to really get to know some of your fellow students! It generally takes up between two and five hours a week of your time, but how dedicated you are as a committee member is up to you. Would you like to sign up for a committee, or maybe even more than one? Let us know by sending an email to email@example.com before October 11th!
AcademiCie (Academic Committee)
This committee is dedicated to organising all kinds of activities related to culture and study. Examples of these academic activities are interesting lectures, visits to musea and many other educative trips. The committee also provides a list of fun and interesting activities to do which you can find every month in our newsletter!
AcCie (Activity Committee)
The AcCie organises many different and fun activities throughout the whole year, varying from Christmas celebrations to the annual TWeekend. The committee never fails to organise a spectacular activity!
ConferenCie (Conference Committee)
Every year, the Conference Committee organises the T.W.I.S.T. Linguistics Conference. They make sure speakers from the Netherlands – but also from other countries – provide interesting lectures about all kinds of linguistic aspects.
Intercom (Internationalisation Committee)
The Internationalisation Committee was founded to help integrate international students into our association. To achieve this, the committee members provide translations for important association documents and this website. Next to this, the commmittee launched a buddy system, so that international students are linked to a Dutch student. They can help them find their way in student life in the Netherlands.
RedacCie (Magazine Committee)
This committee is responsible for the quarterly magazine of our association, the TWISTER. Of course, this magazine does not write itself! The committee members write articles, create linguistic puzzles and take care of the lay-out and distribution of the magazine. If you’d like to write something for the TWISTER, you can find all information via this link.
VakanCie (Holiday Committee)
This committee is dedicated to organising an amazing holiday abroad every year. We step outside the Netherlands for an intriguing quest for culture and, of course, language! Since our focus is on language, chances are you will even be able to talk with the locals by the end of this week. On top of that, there will always be enough time to sit back and enjoy this carefree week in the middle of a hectic year!
